COUNTDOWN TO OCTOBERFISTS CONTINUES AT MONTICELLO GAMING & RACEWAY

Monticello, N.Y. – Oct. 23, 2007 – With another exciting night of boxing at Monticello Gaming & Raceway just days away, Sweet Science Events Ltd. is proud to announce its impressive list of boxers who will take the ring during Octoberfists this Friday, Oct. 26.

Heavyweight contender and Poughkeepsie native Zuri Lawrence (22-14-4) will headline the 8-bout card when he faces Dhafir Smith (18-16-6, 4 KO) of Upper Darby, PA in a scheduled 6-round bout.

“We have another great card highlighted by many Hudson Valley fighters,” said Cliff Ehrlich, senior vice president of Monticello Gaming & Raceway. “There aren’t too many venues in the area that can offer fight fans the opportunity to be as close to the action as they will be at Monticello Gaming & Raceway.”
