Golden Boy Promotions Signs Jeff “Left-Hook” Lacyposted by Kathleen Holland on October 11, 2007, in NewsBy Robert Schlock St. Petersburg native, 2000 US Olympian, and Former IBF Super Middleweight titlist, Jeff “Left-Hook” Lacy has signed a promotional deal with Golden Boy Promotions. As an amateur Lacy compiled a 209-12 record, and soon after turning pro in his 18th professional fight, he captured the IBF Super Middleweight title by knocking out Syd Vanderpool. Now at 30 years old with a 22-1 record with 17 KO’s, Lacy is ready to get his career back on track after losing his Super Middleweight title to Joe Calzaghe, and then suffering a torn rotator cuff in his next bout against Vitali Tsypko. “I’m looking forward to getting back in the ring and showing everyone that I’m one of the best fighters in the world today. Most importantly, I want my title back, and I’m going to get it in 2008.”
