WBC Welterweight Champion, Floyd Mayweather (39-0, 25 KO’s) once again proved to the boxing world that he is, pound for pound, the best boxer in the world when he scored a tenth round TKO over IBO Light Welterweight Champion, Ricky Hatton (43-1,31 KO’s) in a battle of “Undefeated” Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Hatton was cut over the right eye when Mayweather landed a right in the third round. Hatton had a point deducted in the sixth round for hitting on the back of Mayweather’s head. Mayweather took control and began beating Hatton down. Hatton hit the canvas in the ninth round and again in the tenth, when Referee, Joe Cortez stopped the bout after Hatton was unable to recover from the knockdown, stunning the predominately British crowd.
