Top Rank’s, Foreman Takes Title From Tsurkan in Split Decision.

Yuri Foreman (24-0, 8 Ko’s) won the split decision over Andery Tsurkan, (25-3, 16 KO’s) to gain the NABF Junior Middleweight Belt, in an exciting bout at the Bronx’s Utopia Paradise Theater on December 6. Tsurken’s camp was outraged at the decision.

Heavyweight, Cliff Couser (26-14-2) of Las Vegas, was KO’d in the second round of his rematch to Monte "Two Gunz" Barrett (32-6, 18 KOs), of Queens, who ironically had been KO’d by Couser in July, where it was rumored Barrett had not trained. Couser, who was notified six days prior of this fight, who has been rumored to be Mike Tyson’s half brother displayed similar power at the very beginning but was unable to unleash it for the rest of the round.

New York Cruiserweights, Andre Purlette 40-2 (25KO) took Andrew Greeley (13-20-2) by unanimous decision in a 6 round bout.

Joe Hanks (1-0) made his heavyweight pro-debut winning by 2nd round TKO over Joseph Rabotte, (0-2).

Super lightweight, Edgar Santana (22-3, 14 KOs) scored a third round TKO over Michael Gonzales (11-2-1,9 KO’s).

Ray Robinson (6-0, 2KO’s) defeated Oscar Gonzalez (9-10-1, 3 KO’s) by second round knockout in a battle of welterweights.
