Andy Lee, Ireland's rising boxing middleweight sensation will be action this Friday night (21 March) at the Mohegan Sun Casino, Uncasville, Connecticut, USA against the former Contender star Brian Vera from Austin, Texas with a record of 15w (9kos) (1ko). The boxing event is promoted by Lisa Elovich's Pugnacious Promotions and will be televised by ESPN's " Friday Night Fights."

The 23 year old KRONK fighter, first made his US professional debut just over two years ago on 10 March 2006 at the famous Joe Louis Arena, Detroit and since then has been busy moving along his career path with his eventual destination the world middlewight championship title. To date the undefeated Lee has fought 15 fights with 12 of his wins coming by way of knockout in cities across America, Ireland and Germany. His most significant and talked about victory came last March on the eve of St Patrick's Day at the mecca of boxing,Madison Square Garden against former world champion, Carl Daniels. In the thrid round southpaw Lee unleashed a sharp devasting right hook sending his opponent crashing to the canvas in style. The veteran former middleweight world champion from the 1950s, Jake LaMotta sitting at ringside reportedly said ' That kid has got class, that was a peach of a punch, I thought the lights went out on Broadway.'

Lee commented ' I'm looking forward to the fight, I've trained hard and it is now time to take care of buiness in the ring. This is my second fight this year, with my last in my home city of Limerick, Ireland. It is good to be fighting in America again with the fight being broadcast by ESPN.'
