Calzaghe and Hopkins Both Weigh-in at 173

Joe Calzaghe and Bernard Hopkins weighed in Friday afternoon at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas in preparation for Saturday Night’s highly anticipated matchup. The fighters both weighed in at 173 for their light heavyweight bout.

Hopkins will be putting his Ring Magazine Light Heavyweight championship on the line against the undisputed super middleweight champion, Calzaghe who hails from Wales.

The fan support for Calzaghe is overwhelming as approximately 10,000 loyal Brits came to support their undefeated champion.

Promoted by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Frank Warren’s Sport Network and The Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, the card will be presented live on HBO beginning at 9:45 P.M. ET and 6:45 P.M. PT.

The fight will be held in the Planet Hollywood Ring at the Thomas and Mack Center. Some tickets still remain and can be purchased at Planet Hollywood box office. Ticket prices are $1500, $1200, $450, $350, and $250.
