The Drama of a Big Fight

There is nothing else in all sport that even come close to the drama of a big fight in which the winner and outcome are very much in doubt. For weeks opinions rage from all sides as to the winner and why. Egos and tempers rise from the fans as their favorite is either mocked or cannonized before the fight.

However we all know its all going to hit the hard edge of reality fight night. The sense of anticipation grows ever sharper amid mounting tension knowing that the time will come that the bell will clang and all your opinions and your fighters talents will face the harsh moment of truth.

Finally, it’s fight night. The waiting is over. The waiting that actually began the moment you heard officially about the match. Weeks have passed the excitement builds and builds as the fight gets closer and closer.

Fight night, its as if a giant magnifying glass is focused on the event to happen in the ring and everything else in life for that day gets smaller. At the bell there is a dizzying variety of moods. In the next minutes questions will be answered, lives will be forever changed, and their will be a violent realtering of history.

Its been that way from the first Sullivan -Corbett fight in New Orleans to the excitement of some of the recent fights in Las Vegas. Only boxing provides that bona-fide high and thrill that you cannot find anywhere else!
