Yesterday at the Planet Hollywood Hotel our very own Ana "The Hurricane" Julaton looked sensational. Her body was ripped and weighed in at 121lbs. She posed for the camera's gave a few interviews and as always treated everything as business as usual.

What I'd like for our faithful readers to know is that just like her famed trainer Freddie Roach onced did, this Filipina will be fighting on her Birthday! That's right for everyone who is coming to support our next future champion don't forget to give her a quick hello and Happy Birthday. Ana wants a very happy birthday "Doc I just want to give the fans a really great performance, but I'm not gonna lie I would love to say I got a knockout on my birthday...it's a funny feeling, since I got the one last week I'm hungry for another" says Ana. Let's not forget that she is in a tough battle with a very good opponent in Johana Mendez who weighed in at a ready 119lbs. The 2007 bantamweight silver medalist looked very disdainful of Julat on and often times wouldn't look her in the eyes. Folks this opponent did not come here to lose and I feel there will be some fireworks lit in tonights match. I found out yesterday that a last minute change occured. Minutes before the actual weigh in the Mendez camp insisted on a Six Round fight. I asked Julaton's boxing advisor why the sudden change. "Doc my opinion is the Mendez camp saw the amazing knockout that Ana performed on you tube and I'm sure they plan to run for six rounds...We had no hesitation in changing the bout to more rounds because honestly it will not make a difference. Mendez can run but she can't hide and as you already know doc eventually Ana's power gets to her opponents. The most common thing I've heard everyone say when they get in the ring with Ana is Wow I didn't think you hit that hard. So tomorrow expect a crowd pleasing performance" said the very confident advisor. Freddie Roach is arriving tomorrow fresh off his 3rd knockout victory in a row in less than ten days (Craig McEwen won via 3rd round KO in Texas Friday). "I am so happy Coach will be here tomorrow, he knows how to calm me down and get ready for a big fight...Doc I want to show Bob Arum why I will be ready for a title fight in the end of the year." said a confident Julaton. If Ana is able to achieve that goal and win the WBC SuperBantamweight title, she would become the first female boxer ever to win a legitimate World Title in her rookie year. How great would it be for the Philippine people to say that two of the best fighters in the world are both Filipino and Filipina. Tomorrow night is yet another step to the eventual coronation of the Queen of Philippine Boxing. Happy Birthday to Ms. Ana Julaton, let's root for her to give us a Birthday Bash and Blow out her competition.
