HOPKINS TO PAVLIK: "Bring your A Game"

"It's a honor to be fighting a future Hall of Famer," said world middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik of Youngstown, Ohio.

"You're a great champion - but you better bring your A-Game on October 18," said Bernard Hopkins of Philadelphia.

Pavlik vs. Hopkins is set for the Boardwalk Hall, hosted by Caesars Atlantic City, on Saturday, Oct. 18. Top Rank and Golden Boy are promoting. Tickets at $700, $500, $350, $200, $100 and $75 go on sale Friday, August 8 at noontime and can be purchased at the Boardwalk Hall box office, by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 736-1420 or online at www.ticketmaster.com

Pavlik, the world middleweight champion, will take on Hopkins at 170 pounds.

"I weighed 166 for the second fight against Jermain Taylor," Pavlik. "Going up a few more pounds will be no problem."

"There is danger in every fight," Loew said. "That was some punch Hopkins fired off to knock down (Joe) Calzaghe."

Pavlik vs. Hopkins will be available on HBO Pay Per View.
