Pacquiao's promoter Top Rank has been in negotiations with Golden Boy Promotions for nearly a week, and reports of the discussions have been a hot topic as of late.

Ace Pinoy scribe Ronnie Nathanielsz reported earlier today out of the Philippines in the Manila Standard Today that a disagreement over the purse split could be putting the fight in jeopardy. According to several sources, Golden Boy had offered Pacquiao a 70-30 split, which was countered by a 60-40 proposal from Team Pacquiao. According to a FightFan.com source it is believed that a 65-35 split may be enough to get the fight done. Aside from the money a catch weight and glove size have also been points of contention in the negotiations. It is believed if a deal is not reached this week that Top Rank may walk away from the table and look to a Nov. 8 fight pitting Pacquiao against Mexican banger, Humberto Soto.
